ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Falcons Festival in Al-Ahsa was launched for the first time in February 2024 as a prestigious cultural event, a special occasion to experience the Saudi Arabian intangible heritage of falconry. In collaboration with an international group of experts, we have activated the festival for four consecutive days, focusing on traditional falcon races and providing a cultural experience for the attendees where everyone enjoys the traditions, arts, handicrafts and history, local cuisine, and learns about the innovative future plans for the Eastern region. The festival aims to preserve this ancient art from the past to the future, and in each edition of the festival, we seek to highlight the true value behind falconry and enrich the community and residents with its cultural and sports approaches.
Falcon hunters gather with us, and historians and heritage enthusiasts join to celebrate and share their passion through a wide platform to showcase the inherited skills and knowledge in an innovative manner, reflecting the dynamic blend of tradition and modernity.
